General Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and schedule engaging social media content, drive employer branding campaigns in conjunction with the marketing organization, and influence other recruiting communications. You will help Hertz share its story as the ultimate career choice.

During your own application process for this role, most of the branded content you come across on our careers website, recruiting videos, social media pages and other platforms are within the scope of what you could work on. Your focus will be on creating and promoting content that attracts top talent to Hertz across Europe. To do this you will need to partner effectively with multiple internal and external groups, senior leaders and other global stakeholders (e.g. marketing, social media, HR, legal, creative agencies, etc.). It will be crucial to have, or develop, a deep understanding of Hertz brand guidelines so that all content is aligned and we maintain a relationship of trust with our key stakeholders. In addition to working with others to source content, you will often need to create or edit content on your own. Our employee value proposition is an area of increased focus, which means that as a member of a small team, you will take a lot of ownership in driving highly visible content.

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of social media recruitment process, an intense desire to stay up to date on the most current social media recruitment trends and the ability to translate those trend in to an actionable plan.  The candidate will be comfort with ambiguity, have the ability to prioritize, the flexibility to work in a changing environment and a willing to try, fail and try again attitude. The scope of the role is both strategic, as well as all tactical and administrative aspects of creating and scheduling content.

Areas you will be responsible for:

  1. Track and interpret metrics related to engagement and effectiveness of employer branding content on social media and other platforms to drive social media optimization (SMO) and return on investment

  2. Stay informed about news, trends and topics to help support Hertz Recruitment across Europe

  3. Explore and drive opportunities to engage current employees in being "ambassadors" for Hertz employer brand (e.g. employee referrals, social media engagement, etc.)

  4. Work with the Marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across Hertz recruiting materials

  5. Support recruiters across Europe on branded material to use at college & job fairs

  6. Assist recruiters with developing both social and traditional recruitment marketing materials

  7. Lead and develop a social media monitoring and analysis program with a particular focus on providing Social Media intelligence and insight so as to contribute to the development of the overarching Social Media strategy.

  8. Build stories from social data, crafting powerful presentations using charts, tables and infographics that delivers the results and analysis of the primary research in a visual manner that can be presented to the senior leadership.

  9. Manage a deliverable calendar of recurring schedule and ad hoc reports.

  10. Be 100% comfortable in pulling and interpreting data from social listening tools including volume, sentiment, conversation drivers, influencers, etc.

Professional Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in social media marketing/recruiting with deep understanding of social platforms: Facebook, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat etc.

  • Ability to build and drive a community engagement approach that is both globally resonant and locally relevant

  • Experience aligning recruitment social sourcing strategies with an Employee Value Proposition

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Preferred: Adobe Photoshop proficiency, Video editing skills, Copywriting skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adapt to a changing landscape.

  • Experience in content development, asset creation and content marketing.

  • Experience planning and activating paid social campaigns.

  • Highly self-directed and resourceful with ability to work independently

  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, tools and applications.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write and edit clear, clean copy writing for use on social media and blog and presents brand voice in a relevant, meaningful dialogue with target audiences.

  • Strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects, tight deadlines, adapt to change.

  • Works effectively in and across a complex matrix organization
