Our European Service Centre office based in Swords Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and we’re currently looking for a Senior Fleet Accounting Project Leader for our Fleet Accounting Department.

What you'll do

This finance transformation initiatives role is part of Hertz’s global Fleet Accounting COE organization but with designated focus on the International Division. It supports the leadership team in gaining organizational visibility and Business Unit customer alignment.

  • To ensure that all Fleet Accounting PMO projects are delivered in accordance with the corporate strategy and project management approach.

  • Work closely with the SME’s from each business area to successfully deliver the required projects on time and on budget.

  • Analyse financial data to ensure that it is accurate / complete and that all data requests deadlines are fully adhered to.

  • Lead team meetings with project team and act as point of contact between the different stakeholders within the company and relevant third parties consultants.

  • Lead and participate in workshops with business owners and third party consultants where appropriate, documenting agreed actions and ensure that these are executed within the agreed timeframe.

  • Perform tracking and monitor the progress of all PMO and transformation projects to ensure the correct progress in being made in order to achieve the agreed objectives & outcomes.

  • Highlight any risks that need to be escalated for resolution so that risk mitigation strategies may be put in place to ensure it does not impact on project delivery.

  • Prepare reporting on all projects and their associated KPI’s for review with Senior Management and our external consultants.

  • To carry out other duties that may reasonably be required by the Fleet Accounting Manager and leadership

Plan the project

  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with Fleet management

  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project

  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities

  • Review the project schedule with Fleet management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.

  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.

Implement the project

  • Execute the project according to the project plan.

  • Develop forms and records to document project activities.

  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.

  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.

  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.

Control the project

  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.

  • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to Fleet management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)

  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.

  • Ensure a review of the project is completed with all stakeholders when completed.

Evaluate the project

  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality

  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

PMO Project Management

  • Perform project tracking and monitor the progress of all assigned Fleet PMO projects to ensure the correct progress in being made in order to achieve the agreed objectives & outcomes.

  • Review project plan / budget, actual’s and forecast to complete to ensure that the project remains on schedule.

  • Highlight any risks that need to be escalated for resolution so that risk mitigation strategies may be put in place to ensure it does not impact on project delivery.

What you'll need

  • UniversityDegree or professional Qualification

  • Project Management qualification is essential

  • 5 years’ experience of working in a Finance Organisation.

Knowledge:

  • Finance and accounting skills and prior experience within a sophisticated finance department

  • Strong management skills and prior success in effecting change

  • Systems implementation and ongoing management skills

  • Experience in a multinational environment

  • Financial and business acumen
