The role: Taking the wheel at Hertz
The Manager - International Franchise & Program Accounting will lead a team of 17 and be responsible to deliver with high quality and in a cost-efficient manner the month end close for Franchise and Program accounting divisions, ensuring that P&L and Balance Sheet accounts are properly stated in compliance with US GAAP and SOX CPD. Theincumbentwill also establish strong working relationships with Hertz’s Franchisee and Corporate partners in relation to Finance matters/CDP and TACO.
Provide organization and people leadership through talent identification, selection and development to deliver enhanced employee engagement and performance.
Partner with key stakeholders to provide accounting expertise and to deliver financial information and analysis to support operational decision making as required
Ensure that all transactions from the Licensee, Commission and Dividend systems are properly recorded and analysed so that actuals and movement against forecast are understood at detail level.
Monitor accuracy and timeliness of all charges and credits between corporate and licensee systems. Responsibility for the production and publishing of statements for both In country and Out of country licensees, in the
International Licensee System and European Licensee System.
Ensure adequate backup is available to support entries on licensee statements related to all charges and in particular Loyalty, Frequent Traveller, Global Distribution System, General Sales Agent, Tour Override, Customer
Dividend, and Travel Agency commission and Bonus programs.
Analysis/review of P&L accounts as part of the month end process and as requested by management to support cost analysis and review. Provide clear direction and support in relation to all day to day finance activities to ensure clarity of understanding and financial awareness among all employees
Reviewing and evaluating current functions, processes and systems in order to identify areas requiring process improvements to ensure the highest quality of service
Manage licensee queries within or better than SLA from initiation to resolution including logging and tracking to closure
Ensure CDP and TACO liabilities are stated correctly and balances supported
To work with Deloitte and OKC teams on Project ONE, to ensure smooth transition to the new systems
To manage the drive the Cost Transparency for our franchisees
To ensure that all rebills to French franchisees stay up to date.
To establish a robust contracts management database
To implement and bed down Sales force within the Finance team
Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed efficiently and effectively in accordance with Hertz procedural standards and deadlines.
Support review of European Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation for area of ownership in particular management review controls to ensure that all aspects are current and accurate for walkthroughs.
Monitor departmental activities to ensure compliance with all department and company policies and procedures.

Your skills: What you’ll need for a great journey
Strong accounting experience (10+ years)
Proven track record in supervising team
CPA Certification or equivalent preferred
ERP implementation experience a plus
Ability to lead a large organization
Exceptional analytical skills
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Works effectively across a complex global organization and with external parties
Ability to problem-solve, multi-task and prioritize within a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States & IFRS
Knowledge of Finance ERP systems, preferably HFM, Hyperion, Oracle EBS ( R12)
Experience in a multinational environment
