The Hertz Corporation International Tax Manager in Dublin, Ireland
Hertz is looking for an experienced professional in European tax matters, with broad International and US GAAP experience who will bring value to Hertz in a variety of areas including accounting for income taxes, compliance, foreign audits, tax planning, and special projects. This role can be based from our International Head office in Uxbridge, London or our European Service Centre in Dublin, Ireland. The International Tax Manager reports into the Tax Senior Director and there will be one tax accountant reporting into the role.
How you can make a difference:
Oversee the Tax for several jurisdictions (e.g. UK & Ireland, France and Switzerland).
Co-ordinate local tax compliance (tax returns, TP reports etc.)
Manage tax authority enquiries and audits.
Manage and oversee the provision of third party tax services.
Prepare quarterly US GAAP tax estimates (ETR, cash tax forecasts, ASC 740 memos, Valuation Allowance memos etc.)
Partner cross-functionally and provide tax advice and support (Direct and indirect tax)
Mitigate WHT (loan reviews, FATCA forms)
Manage a small team, evaluate performance, consistently nurture their professional and tax technical development.
Strive to simplify and strengthen tax processes.
Stay up-to-date on tax law changes and keep stakeholders informed.
Professional Experience & Skills:
Qualification in Accounting or Tax with experience in a public accounting firm and/or multinational company
Ability to quickly understand and integrate business objectives and effectively communicate tax requirements to management
Must be a team player and be able to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of co-workers, vendors, and other project participants throughout the world
Must have the flexibility that a global company requires (e.g., be available for calls with people in other time zones, etc.)
The ideal candidate will have experience in effectively managing tax projects, identifying appropriate resources required and delivering work product within agreed deadlines
Strong commercial focus;
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including report writing skills; Fluent in English. Other European language skills (French) would be a benefit.
