Our successful candidate will join an experienced Finance team and be part of the fastest growing Car Rental company in the world. The role is based in our friendly and fast paced European Shared Services office in Swords County Dublin, where we employ approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities.
The role: Taking the wheel at Hertz
The Intercompany Accountant is responsible for the recording of all Inter Company transactions for a particular market or markets in a timely manner and the monthly reconciliation of the relevant intercompany accounts.
Prepare and record Inter Company invoices/credit notes so that corporate and licensee locations can be recharged for costs that are to be reclaimed from the source country
Retrieving all necessary backup for Intercompany rebill in line with SOX requirements
Receive and accurately record invoices/credit notes that are recharged from corporate and licensee locations so all Inter Company transactions can be correctly accounted for.
Prepare monthly reconciliations / Open Items for all InterCompany accounts to ensure current balances are correct and accurate and that there are no aged items over 90 days.
Prepare and submit the monthly Settlement Schedule detailing all invoices raised in the previous month to ensure prompt payment through the netting department.
Accurately record the monthly netting statement received from the Netting Dept to reflect the monthly settlement of final balances due to/ from the Inter Company country. This involves liaising with the Treasury in HESC to ensure the payment is processed in a timely manner.
Prepare and submit the monthly rebill files for any automated rental adjustments that need to be settled via Netting

Your skills: What you’ll need for a great journey
Accountancy experience/qualification (or in the process of acquiring) is essential
Computer Literacy/Systems Knowledge- Microsoft Office, IBM Systems, Oracle, Lotus Notes, Monarch, Document Direct
Strong written and spoken communication skills
Must be accurate, diligent and able to meet strict targets & deadlines
